Historical Progressive Dinner for up to 10 people hosted at three locations in one of Billings’ Most Beautiful Historical Neighborhoods
Chefs:
Carl Kurokawa & Seth Carlson of Juliano’s Restaurant
Jim Carlson of MorningStar of Billings
Date:
To be mutually agreed upon between lucky bidder, hosts and chefs. Available August and September, 2019, Sunday or Monday

Take a walk back in time through one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Billings, designated as a Montana National Register of Historical Places. Three residences – each hosts one course of your progressive dinner prepared by one of Billings’ most notable chefs.

Appetizers and champagne will be served at the home of Dr. Jim and Anne Nichols (239 Beverly Hill Boulevard). The original homeowners, Mr. & Mrs. R.G. Bonell, shared their own ideas with architect Chandler Cohagen to create this interesting home. The site of the home, an angular intersection of North 32nd Street with Beverly Hill and Colton Boulevards, contains seven lots – a generous property, but impossible to have used efficiently with a conventional square house. For that reason, the plan is itself angular, fitted to the grounds handsomely and with the utmost economy of space.

Dinner course with wine will be served at the home of Mike and Cara Schaer (1109 North 32nd Street). This beautiful Craftsman style home was built in 1915 for original owner Arthur J. Cunningham. A one and one-half story home boasts a gable dormer on the front side of the home, and Craftsman-style posts span the entire width of the large, open front porch. Mike & Cara Schaer are the sixth owners of this beautiful home.

Dessert and coffee will be served at the home of Mike and Sherril Burke (2101 Locust Avenue). This stately home was built in 1934 by Mearl & Frances Fagg – current homeowner Sherril Burke’s grandparents. The architect was Chandler Cohagen, who also designed several other homes in this area. Mike and Sherril Burke purchased this home from Frances’ estate in 1993 – making them only the second owners of the home and keeping it in the Fagg family.
