Wine & Food Festival 2024 Recap

This year’s MSUB Wine & Food Festival was the most successful ever! Over $600,000 was donated by friends, alumni, and businesses.

“With immense appreciation, I extend my heartfelt thanks to our remarkable guests and donors for their wholehearted support in achieving a record-breaking fundraising effort for student scholarships at MSUB through our annual MSUB Wine & Food Festival.  I also express deep gratitude to our numerous volunteers, dedicated staff, and our Director of Special Events, Kelly Schrock, whose tireless efforts were instrumental in ensuring the resounding success of our event. Scholarships are lifeline of opportunity for MSUB students, empowering them to pursue their dreams and unlock their full potential in the face of financial challenges.  We are so proud knowing that each dollar contributed paves the way for brighter futures and endless possibilities.” said CEO of MSUB Foundation & Alumni Krista Montague.

The 2024 Wine & Food festival kicked off on Thursday, April 18th, with the WineMaster Soirée at TEN @ The Northern Hotel, where guests enjoyed an exclusive wine tasting experience led by Winemasters Todd Graff and Michael Davies, complemented by cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Sarah Seltvedt. On Friday, April 19th, more than 400 attendees gathered for Taste & Toast at the MetraPark Pavilion, experiencing wine and food tastings from 30 craft experts, participating in a silent auction, private cellar wine raffle, and wine store. The festival concluded on Saturday, April 20th, with A Vintage Affair, where 450 guests enjoyed the exquisite food by Chef Philip Bond, MSUB Dining Executive Chef. The night was highlighted by a successful live auction which was a major contributing factor to the overall success.

“This festival takes time and talents of hundreds of volunteers, vendors, and staff. All their behind-the-scenes efforts make this fundraiser an unforgettable experience for our guests. We are also very grateful for the amazing generosity of all our in-kind donors and sponsors, especially the Presenting Sponsor Briggs Distributing and our Pinnacle Sponsors First Interstate Bank and Rove Partners.” Said Kelly Schrock, MSUB Foundation & Alumni Director of Special Events.

Wine & Food Festival has once again set a standard for philanthropic events, reaffirming the MSUB’s commitment to education excellence and community engagement. Plans are already underway for next year’s festival which will be held at the MetraPark Pavilion on April 17 and 18, 2025.
