Holiday Memories on Campus

This time of year, I think back to when I was a freshman living in Petro Hall. I was staying on campus over part of winter break to participate on the cheer team. The residence halls were nearly empty. My car was snowed under in the parking lot. And there I was, sitting on the cold, linoleum floor of my room, wrapping presents for my teammates before practice.

It was the first time I was experiencing Christmas away from home. I didn’t know it at the time, but MSU Billings had become my new home. It was my new normal. It was the next stop on my path. As an 18-year-old, I didn’t think much about it, but now it’s a memory.

Fourteen years later – I am still at MSU Billings wrapping Christmas gifts. But this time, I’m at the Alumni House! It’s been such an amazing experience to be able to serve in this capacity and continue to share my enthusiasm for MSU Billings with my fellow alumni.

No matter the era we attended – we all have a commonality that brings us together. We are Yellowjackets, and we each have our own special memories from our alma mater. What’s yours?

With enthusiasm,
