Decisions for a Lasting Legacy (Afternoon Session)

MSU Billings Foundation is committed to making dreams come true, both the dreams of students and dreams of donors. Crafting a legacy may be close to a donor’s heart, but challenging to execute. That’s why MSU Billings Foundation is hosting Decisions for a Lasting Legacy, free workshops Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.
Facilitated by Marsha A. Goetting, Ph.D., CFP, CFCS, and Extension Family Economics Specialist at Montana State University in Bozeman, the workshops are for people interested in financial and estate planning. Two session, the first at 2 p.m. and the second at 6 p.m., will be held on the MSU Billings University campus in McDonald hall Room 355. Parking available on third level of parking garage.
Topic included estate planning to-do list, wills, ownership issues, and beneficiaries. Attendees explored how property passes without a will or trust, estate planning aspects of Montana Medical Care Savings Accounts, Long Term Care Partnership Program, Medicaid and Long Term Care Costs, Montana Endowment Tax Credit, and deferred gift annuities and other planned giving tools.
