December Letter to Alumni from Gillette Vaira

This time of year, many of us start thinking about New Year’s resolution possibilities. If you’re ready to shake it up in 2019, the Alumni Association can help!

Resolution possibility No. 1: Meet more people
Alumni Association’s solution:

That’s easy! Attend an alumni event near you! In fact, you can get started on this resolution right away by attending Swingin’ in the New Year on Jan. 4. Haven’t bought your tickets yet? It’s not too late! Click here for our ticket store. If you’re not in Billings, don’t sweat it! We have out-of-town and out-of-state events in the works, and we’d love to come to you. Contact us about having an alumni event in your area, and we’ll get on it.

Resolution possibility No. 2: Be more philanthropic
Alumni Association’s solution:

Simply sport your ‘Jacket pride – on your car or on yourself! We have the coolest MSUB alumni license plate, and if your vehicle isn’t rocking them yet, it’s time. We also just launched a new alumni clothing line so you can share your Yellowjacket spirit at work or on the go. The best part? All the proceeds from both of these options help the Alumni Association to create programming and events. That way, you can enjoy your ‘Jacket gear and feel great knowing that you’re supporting your alma mater, too!

Resolution possibility No. 3: Help my community
Alumni Association’s solution:

Join a task force! You can help select scholarship winners, plan events, develop service projects, get other alumni engaged, and more. We already have task force members involved from across the state and nation, so join them! You’ll be giving back to your campus and your community when you do.

Still can’t think of the right New Year’s resolution? Here’s one for you: resolve to connect with your alma mater because we want to reconnect with you.

With enthusiasm,

Gillette Vaira, M.A.
