Dani & Dillon Steiger: Making music and memories at MSUB

As high school sweethearts six years ago, we never would have guessed
that today we would be married, graduating college with the same degree,
and moving across the country in just a few short months. Headed in
opposite directions in life, we had two things in common from the start – our
love for music and our love for each other. Initially intent on attending
different schools, we were both offered scholarships to MSU Billings, and
decided to join the closest and most rapidly developing music program in
Montana.

Both of us are earning Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Music Performance this
month. However, Dillon has a different career path in mind. Also a member of
the ROTC program, Dillon commissions as an officer in the U.S. Army upon
graduation. We have a long road ahead of us, but we plan on leading very
musical lives with hopes of pursuing master’s degrees in performance. We
want to share our knowledge and expand the musical community in every
place we live.

As this year’s Wine & Food Festival student speakers, we look forward to
sharing our story – and our gratitude – with the people who made our
educations possible. This university is such a big part of our lives, and it will
be difficult to let it go. MSUB has a special place in our hearts, and we easily
consider the people here a part of our family.
